"The American mind, unlike the English, is not formed by books, but, as Carl Sandburg once said to me, by newspapers and the Bible."

—Van Wyck Brooks (1886-1963) American critic, historian

Welcome to Preschool Story Time!

 By Monica Adams, Assistant Librarian

Story Time will be offered on Tuesdays

 11:15 to 11:45 am at

 Idaho Spring Public Library

Story time is a language enrichment program for parents and babies to work on pre-reading skills. Our goal is to have fun with rhymes, stories and other language-building play. Please keep the following in mind while the program is in session for the enjoyment of all who attend.

·        Parent participation is the key to our success. Please sit with your child and join in the fun!

·        Please put toys and food aside for the short duration of the program. They will be distracting to your child and to other children. If there are bottles and blankets that cannot be parted with, that's ok.

·        If your child is crying loudly or otherwise distracting the group, please feel free to step out for a moment and regroup.

·        Relax and have fun! This is a program for you and your baby. It is not expected that your child will sit still and participate in each activity.

·        We ask that you to please visit with other parents after the program.
